Bring the sound of music into your home with this 1979 Steinway 45” upright. This is a great instrument for a family with limited space and a passion for music. It is ideal for an individual learning to play or for an accomplished pianist. This piano was just tuned to A440, has a pleasant tone and can be enjoyed immediately as-is. The case is in good shape. The satin ebonized finish is minimally alligatored on the fall board. There are a few small nicks in the finish. There is a damaged spot on the top flap which can be removed and refinished separately (see the picture). The hammers have only light wear. The plate, soundboard, bridges and pin block are all sound. There are minor, inconsequential, splits in the soundboard with no separation from the ribs. The piano would benefit from interior cleaning, regulation, and replacement of a few damaged springs and cloth punchings to bring it to excellent condition.
