The Hamburg Steinway D is the gold standard internationally for concert pianos due to its large dynamic range, depth of tone from top to bottom, and sensitivity of the action. Our piano lives up to that reputation. Made in Germany in 1894, it was completely rebuilt in 2007 by Klavierhaus in NYC with new Hamburg Steinway parts including: Kluge keyframe and keys, underlevers, action frame and all action parts. It received a new pin block, tuning pins, soundboard, strings, and bridge caps. Also, new legs and locking 4" brass concert casters. The case was stripped and given a high-polish ebony finish. Only the case shows minor signs of wear.
The venue that bought it from Flynn Pianos in 2007 went under during the 2008 recession after just a handful of performances. The piano subsequently spent a few years of light use in a vocal recital hall at a music conservatory in Boston. It then came to Lenox, MA where it was purchased back by Flynn Pianos.
Musically, this concert grand is as good as new for less than half the $200,000 price of current models. The $85,000 price includes ground floor delivery within 100 miles, as well as an artist bench, padded cover, and one tuning on site at its destination. It may be rented for a trial concert. The full cost would be credited towards purchase.

For example, the Albany International Airport is just 1 hour away. There is a Holiday Inn across the street from our workshop showroom. If required we can connect any buyer with long distance piano moving companies.
